Vintage 1960s PEONY Red and Black Brocade Satin Jacket and Pant Set. Traditional chinese outfit. Made in Shanghai. 100% Rayon satin with chrysanthemum print on jacket. Jacket is a tunic length that falls above knee with 3/4 length sleeves. Jacket has mandarin collar and frog closure buttons at front. Crescent shape waist front pockets. Side bottom slits and fully lined in solid red satin. Decorative swirly quilting or silk wadding at front opening, pockets and cuffs (when rolled up).
Pant is a black rayon satin fabric with pleats at waist yoke. Straight cut leg. Side seam snap and button closure. Bottom has red satin side seam detail with frog button.
In amazing vintage condition. Freshly steam cleaned. Labelled a size 36 but not sure what it means. Jacket fits and measures a SM or M or 4 or 6. Pant fits and measures a size M or ML or 8. Model is a size M or 6 and 5'9. But please see measurements and pictures for accuracy.
