Vintage Fall Winter 1976 from the Operas - Ballets Russes Collection YSL Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Brown Quilted Vest. This is a RARE and ICONIC piece. This collection was inspired by Russian folklore and textiles. See picture from that era with vest at top left hand corner. Cotton floral quilted with embroidered silk all over binding and shank plastic buttons with corded loops. Lined in solid brown quilted lining. Straight fit and falls below waist. Made in France.
Condition is excellent. No stairs or marks or piling or holes or snags of any kind that I can see. Hardly worn. The original label with hand written details and serial number. It was acquired at an estate sale where the majority of the clothing and accessories were Yves Saint Laurent. The size is not legible but the mannequin is a size 4. Is probably a 36 or 38 French sizing. But please see measurements for accuracy. Belt is available separately on my store.
